McKinsey’s Alex Niemeyer says that companies often look for a single miracle-cure technology to fix everything in a supply chain (e.g. how RFID was hyped). He goes on to say that 3D printing will make certain supply chains (far-flung use-centers, rare need, high complexity etc.)
